Monza

The coldest season is upon us, giving Monza a fresh look on its landscape: snowy sceneries, clear skies and amazing golden sunsets.

LET'S START WITH ITS UNTOUCHED NATURE…

The atmosphere is always magical at the Royal Park of Monza whether it is covered with snow or ice, with pastel hues covering its fields. Grab your gloves, scarf and hat in order to take a walk through its trails and discover the unique views it offers.

WALKING THROUGH MUSEUMS

If it is just too cold for you outside, we would like to recommend to visit the outstanding historical, cultural and artistic heritage that lies in the Monza and Brianza areas.

A few examples you should not miss are: the art collections of the Monza Civic Museums, guarded at the medieval building known as "Casa degli Umiliati". One hundred and forty masterpieces that narrate the city's events since ancent times to modern day in a journey of ideas with continuous callbacks between art and the land.

Then there is the priceless treasure of the Lombards, guarded by the  Museum and Treasure of the Monza Cathedral, with the precious Iron Crown, sacred and regal relic displayed at the late gothic Chapel of Queen Theodolinda.

Italian design history on the other hand is represented at the Museum of Design, installed at the grounds of the Belvedere and the Monza Royal Villa. Two hundred iconic pieces from the Milan Triennale, bearing witness to innovation, experimentation and heterogeneity in Italian design history.

IT'S SHOPPING TIME!

Winter in Monza is also the season of sales in the city's elegant shopping streets. Via Italia, Via Carlo Albero and Via Vittorio Emanuele offer boutiques and shops for every preference and budget, plus pleasant restaurants and cafés where you can take a reinvigorating break.
