The Municipality of Monza approved the Planning Document for Data Security with the resolution of the City Council (n. 756 of 10 November 2005).

Regulation (EU) 2016/679 provided for the establishment of the Data Protection Officer (DPO) or the data security manager, whose appointment is mandatory in all institutions, bodies, companies, associations.
The DPO is therefore a specific, specialized, expert on the subject, which must deal exclusively with the protection of personal data, to which these tasks are entrusted.

  • inform and provide advice to the data controller and data processor regarding the obligations deriving from Regulation 679/2016 or from other internal or European legislative provisions on data protection;
  • monitor compliance with the Regulations by the data controller and the data processor in all its parts, including the attribution of responsibilities, awareness-raising and training of the personnel participating in the processing;
  • provide opinions on the impact assessment upon request and monitor its performance;
  • cooperate with the supervisory authority by acting, among other things, as a contact point for issues related to processing by carrying out consultations of all kinds, with particular regard and attention to any prior consultation.

DATA PROCESSING

The data are processed exclusively for operations relating to the services requested by the citizen. To this end, the data may be transmitted to third parties who carry out activities strictly related to the operation of the service.
The processing is carried out through the use of IT, telematic or paper tools for which appropriate security measures are used to guarantee its confidentiality and to avoid access to unauthorized subjects.

At any time, the citizen can assert the rights provided for by art. 7 of the Legislative Decree n. 196 of 30/06/2003 (Code regarding the protection of personal data), in particular:

  • request confirmation of the existence of personal data concerning him;
  • receive communication;
  • have information about: the origin of personal data, the purposes and methods of treatment; the criterion of the treatment carried out with the help of electronic tools; the identification details of the owner, of the managers and of the designated representative, the subjects or categories of subjects to whom the personal data may be communicated or who can learn about them as appointed representative in the territory of the State, managers or agents;
  • request its updating, rectification, integration;
  • request cancellation, transformation into anonymous form, blocking of data processed in violation of the law;
  • object, in whole or in part, to the processing of personal data concerning him, even if pertinent to the purpose of the collection;
  • object, in whole or in part, to the processing of personal data concerning him for the purpose of sending informative material.

OWNER OF THE DATA PROCESSING

the natural person, the legal person, the public administration and any other body, association or organization which is responsible, even jointly with another owner, for decisions regarding the purposes, methods of processing personal data and the tools used, including the security profile.
For the Municipality of Monza, it is the Municipality itself, represented by the Mayor Pro tempore.

RESPONSIBLE FOR DATA PROCESSING

The natural person, legal person, public administration and any other body, association or body appointed by the owner to process personal data.

DATA PROCESSORS

natural persons authorized to carry out processing operations by the owner or manager.
For the Municipality of Monza, all those who have access to both personal and sensitive data are appointed.

PRIVACY ORGANIZATIONAL MODEL

The Municipality of Monza approved the Regulations of the MOP (Privacy Organizational Model) by resolution of the Municipal Council (No. 199 of 19 October 2021).
